Arriving by train

Landau can easily be reached by train, the train station is referred to as Landau (Pfalz) on the website of the Deutsch Bahn. Please use this link for planning your journey (and purchasing your tickets): Deutsche Bahn

We highly encourage you to also check train connections if you are travelling internationally within Europe, as there are many convenient international train connections.

Public transport from the train station to the Butenschoenhaus is available. You can take bus lines to the stop “Uni/Alter Messplatz” or regional trains or buses to the station “Landau Westbahnhof”. Both stops are about a kilometre away from the Butenschoenhaus.

You can use the public transport site vrn.de to coordinate your journey (by typing in the address). Downloading the app (myVRN) will give you access to an English version of the platform.
Alternatively, you can also use the national transport site Deutsche Bahn for the local public transport leg of the journey (ideally, by typing in the exact address).

Arriving by plane

From Frankfurt Airport (FRA), Landau can be reached in about two hours by train (see above).
“Frankfurt Flughafen” is the train station you will need to indicate as starting point on the Deutsche Bahn  site.

The airport Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (FBK) is a smaller airport that offers connections via Ryanair and a few other airlines.
